About the HDS242S
The OWON HDS242S combines a 2-channel 40 MHz oscilloscope and a 20,000-count True RMS multimeter in one handheld unit with a 3.5" colour display. The S version adds a single-channel waveform generator for sine waves up to 25 MHz and arbitrary waveforms.
It samples at up to 250 MSa/s, runs on two 18650 lithium-ion cells and charges over USB-C, which also connects it to OWON's PC software. The scope inputs are rated 400 V (CAT II); the two channels share a common ground.

Safety information and warnings
Read the user manual before use and use the device only as described in it. Maximum input voltage of the oscilloscope inputs: 400 V (CAT II). Never exceed the maximum input values given in the specifications. Use probes rated for the voltage you measure, and set the probe attenuation (1X/10X) to match.

- Keep your fingers behind the finger guards on the probes.
- Do not use the device near explosive gas or vapour, or in damp or wet conditions.

- Charge only as described in the manual: USB-C, 5 V DC / 2 A, 0…40 °C.
- Stop using the device if the battery swells, leaks or becomes hot.

- Dispose of the device and its batteries at a collection point for electronic waste, not with household waste.
